Medical Guest House (MGH)

Our Medical Guest House is an initiative of the CEO of Yayasan Gentle Care Indonesia, Romy Hidayat. It concerns a small, simple private home that was not used. This home is now temporarily used to accommodate patients for one or more nights.



Anggita

Anggita is a 15-month-old girl. Anggita was born with Down syndrome and has a congenital heart defect, cataracts and malnutrition. Anggita needs therapy twice a week in the hospital in Mataram. Her parents are poor farmers and have no money for transportation to the hospital or housing in the city. The drive to Mataram takes two and a half hours, after which they spend the night with Anggita in the hospital parking lot.
Anggita is transported to and from the hospital in Mataram by our NEMO transport bus. and for her necessary overnight stay, she can stay with her mother at the MGH, instead of out in the open in a parking lot.
Anggita needs special milk because of her malnutrition. This special milk costs €3 per day. Unfortunately, her parents cannot afford these costs.


Arka

Arka is a 4-month-old boy. Arka was born with Down syndrome and has a congenital heart defect, malnutrition and pneumonia. Arka needs therapy twice a week. His parents do not have a fixed income. They also have no money for transport and accommodation in the capital. They live in a mountain village about 3 hours drive from Mataram.
Arka needs special milk. Costs €3 per day.


Ainun

Ainun is a 6-month-old girl. Ainun was born with Down syndrome and has a congenital heart defect and malnutrition. Ainun needs therapy twice a week. Her parents are poor workers and have no money for transportation and accommodation in Mataram. The drive to the capital is more than 2 hours. Ainun is also dropped off and picked up by our NEMO transport van.
Ainun also needs special milk. Costs €3 per day
