Our unique position

In the future, we hope to grow into a small-scale clinic for wound care and diabetes that will make it possible for people in the region to have access to good medical facilities close to home.

In addition, our clinic offers a special free service for poor people who otherwise do not have access to medical care.

Our healthy lifestyle program, in which we visit the areas around our clinic every month to perform a health check and to inform and advise people about the importance of healthy living, food and hygiene, is unique. Knowledge about health, hygiene and healthy food is different than in the west, not yet widespread in Indonesia.

By focusing primarily on wounds and the elderly, we can disseminate and deploy our expertise in this area both within our clinic and the surrounding area and in collaboration with other health institutions.

A clinic where sustainability is central. We will express this in the choices we make for certain materials: use of sustainable energy, plastic-free as much as possible and the use of a rainwater collection system. In addition, we enter into lasting relationships with our environment and our patients.

Our dreams

With the correct treatment of wounds, we want to prevent people from undergoing unnecessary amputations and operations. We want to prevent people from no longer being able to participate in the labor process. Because no longer being able to participate in the labor process means no more money to live on and this can lead to social isolation.

A treatment in our clinic prevents this and offers our patients a future!

And this treatment not only contributes to a better future for the patient, but also for his entire family. Because in many cases the whole family depends on this breadwinner. If the breadwinner is no longer able to do his or her job, it means misery for the whole family. Poverty in Indonesia means: no food, clothing, education, medical care and so on.

Our future plans

We have big plans for the future!

We plan to open our clinic to students. We hope in the future to be able to receive both local and foreign students to learn together and from each other how special it is to be able to work in healthcare.

We also want to connect our clinic with the community around it. We want to do this by setting up a community center. With this community center we want to respond to the need for education and neighborhood activities. With this we want to join the community center founded by Romy Hidayat. For example, we want to teach English to children, who can look forward to a better future, or organize cooking classes to make people more aware of the importance of good nutrition. We want to involve the local population in all our activities: from the interior decorator to the teacher and the local entrepreneurs.

Offering care and education makes the concept of our clinic unique in the region. There is no organization in the region that fulfills this need as directly as the Gentle Care Foundation. Based on this concept, we want to contribute to a better future in Indonesia, together with the entire board of the Gentle Care Foundation and the Yayasan Gentle Care Indonesia and our friends from the foundation.
