What we do
Our activities being carried out in the vicinity of Mataram, the capital of the Indonesian island of Lombok.
Together with our Indonesian partner Yayasan Gentle Care Foundation Indonesia, we transport patients with different types of wounds and conditions to hospitals, who can provide adequate medical care.
Good medical care is evident in the Western world. But in Indonesia these good medical facilities as well as knowledge about hygiene, health and healthy food are lacking for a large part of the population.
As a result, people with different types of wounds and conditions do not receive the care they need and this often has serious consequences. They can no longer work and generate no income. As a result, they can no longer participate in daily life and it is often impossible to support themselves and their family. This way they can become completely isolated.
Wounds can have a negative impact on people's quality of life and well-being. The Gentle Care Foundation aims to allow these people to participate fully in life again, by offering adequate medical care.
